The History

Founded in 2009, Xingshi Cup is one of China’s leading Industrial design competitions. With over 25,000 applications from over 30 countries more than 500 designs have won awards and more than 100 have been produced in Foshan, China. With applicants from USA, Japan, France, Netherlands, South Korea, Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, the Philippines, New Zealand and more, the Xingshi Cup has grown into an influential international design competition.

Since 2017, Hanhai Studio has been the annual organizer of the Xingshi Cup Los Angeles competition. Hanhai Studio is a cross-border business acceleration platform that specializes in two of the largest markets in the world – US and China. They specifically serve companies in the entertainment & media industry to help them explore their cross-border potential.

As the organizer of the LA regional event, they seek to inspire and encourage the development of local industrial designers and their journey to international entrepreneurship.
